Everything you need to know

Before you book

Where can I find ice times for all camps?

A link to the schedule will be posted here once the schedule is finalized.

Times and dates are subject to change due to changes in rink schedule outside the control of Pacific Coast Goaltending. We will update via email with any changes as soon as we are made aware.

What’s the difference between “Selects” and the other camps?

Overall, this is a camp for those who are serious about moving on to the next level.

  • 2:1 student-to-instructor ratio with a max of 12 students — the other camps are 3:1
  • Higher paced drills
  • Higher end shooters
  • Ability to tailor drills for the individual’s needs
  • 1-on-1 video analysis included
  • Access to all camp video
  • Breakdown of complex situations
  • Swag included (bag, hats, clothing)
Do you offer private lessons at camp or over the summer?

Yes, on a coach-by-coach basis. Please see the Private Lessons page for contact information for a goalie coach in your area.

Who are the coaches?

Thomas Speer — San Jose Sharks, NHL
Travis Hoy — Vernon Vipers, BCHL
Chris Johansen — Allen Americans, ECHL & Wichita Falls Warriors, NAHL
Dave Caruso — Albany Devils, AHL

Note that at each camp coaches can vary and we will provide updates as the camp date gets closer. See the full Coaching Staff.

Should I attend more than one camp?

Yes, you can — it can be beneficial to your game to attend more than one camp. Many students attend 2–3 each during the summer.

Do you have a payment plan?

Yes. Please contact us and we can tailor a payment schedule for you.

What is your cancellation & refund policy?

See our Refund Policy, or contact us with questions.

What if I / my goaltender has a medical concern?

Let us know prior to camp of any medical conditions, concerns or limitations your goaltender may have. It is your responsibility to make Pacific Coast Goaltending aware, in email, of any medical conditions, concerns or limitations.

Do you provide food at camp?

No. Please bring your own snacks and meals. You will have time between skates to eat during classroom time. We feel that a lot of students have individual nutrition requirements that we can’t meet and are best suited to take care of themselves.

Where should we stay?
Will there be photographers at camp?

Sometimes we have a photographer take photos or video at camp. We do not charge for photos and they can be downloaded from our website.

Photos and video may be featured on our websites, apps, social sites and marketing material. See our Privacy Policy.

Do you offer discounts?

Multi-camp discounts are available. Please email camps@pcgoaltending.com and provide the dates you plan on registering for to receive a discount code.

I have never played goalie before — should I attend a camp?

If you are a hockey player and want to give goaltending a try, we suggest trying it out first at a “Gretzky Hour / Stick & Puck”. If you enjoyed it and think it’s your passion, you should sign up for the Open or Rookies Camp depending on age.

If you have not played hockey or are very new to skating, we suggest you take the time to get your skating skills up first.

Can I borrow equipment?

Gear may be available. Please Contact Us for availability. Please ensure you provide your own skates, helmet and jock.
